The film takes place in a mountainous area in the UAE & is the tale of two middle-aged friends. One of the friends is light-skinned & sells tobacco. The other is dark-skinned & sells coal. The film revolves around three main aspects the old story mentioned in an implicit manner & a love story between two friends representing the present & bringing us closer to the idea of racism in the tug & pull between love & despair together. The final aspect is the characters of the two boys in the story where we realise the continuum of time & the story continues with them & may never end.
